Today I continued to work on my op-ed, it is pretty much ready to be reviewed as a first draft. I had a meeting with my link connector as well. I got to practice my Spanish with another native speaker briefly and with my mentor as well. I also learned about Cuba from my mentor today: I'm surprised that in reality Cuba is a better nation than the US in many ways. For example, Cuba's literacy rate is higher than the US's and it in fact has the highest literacy rate in the Western Hemisphere (possibly second to Canada by some estimates). However, I think that I learn a lot just from being at my internship even if I don't feel that I am accomplishing much.
